Rachel Skatvold is an author and freelance editor from the Midwest who
enjoys writing inspirational romance novels, devotionals and blogs. She is inspired by the verse from Mathew 5:14, which says, “You are the Light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” For this reason her mission for writing includes composing pieces that reflect God’s light and inspire others. She completed her first three part book series in 2015 called, Riley Family Legacy Series, which centers on the lives of three young woman from the fictional small town of Brimsfield, Kansas. Then in 2016 she released Escaping Reality, about a young reality star who finds herself stranded in the Montana Wilderness. This is the first installment in her new Hart Ranch series. She hopes to release the second book in this contemporary western series by the end of 2017.
Rachel lives with her husband and two preschool aged sons in the country. Besides writing, she enjoys reading, camping, making pottery and singing .
