Beautiful Thought #3
God can take our brokenness and create something beautiful.
I'm sorry about the long pause in-between my beautiful thoughts posts. From now on I will try to post one every month instead of every week. :) Please remember to share on social media using the hashtag #BeautyWithinBooks
Sometimes we might feel like our past is too broken to be used by God. However, we can rest in this promise from 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT. "This means that
anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a
new life has begun!" When Jesus comes into our lives, the past no longer has a hold on us. Isn't this wonderful news? We have to learn to let it go as well and live like the new creations we have become.

In honor of Beauty Restored, coming November 2015, the quote in the photo this week is a little nugget of wisdom from Uncle Luke. If anyone knows what it feels like to be broken, it's Luke Riley. However, God creates something beautiful from the pain in his past and gives him a wonderful testimony to share. His story is told in book three where his daughter Carmen is the main character.
